Elliot Bam

About
“I want my clients to have fun — they need to feel safe and welcomed first,” Says Elliot Bam, the NYC-based songwriter, producer, mixing engineer, and live sound engineer.
Elliot’s work style fosters curiosity and exploration, encouraging clients to experiment with the boundlessness of sound. His process is technically focused, yet built on a foundation of composition and an advanced understanding of harmony.
Originally from Liverpool in the UK, Elliot began his audio journey at 15 by teaching himself Logic Pro X to produce his earliest original songs. This curiosity grew, leading him across the ocean to New York where he earned a degree in Music from Skidmore College. During this time, he served as a teaching assistant and audio engineer for Grossman Recording Studio, while also serving as the recording room manager for WSPN Radio Station and engineering live sessions for WSPN Presents.
Now with five years of hands-on experience, Elliot works as a freelance producer, live sound engineer, songwriter/composer, and vocal arranger. Through his work, he hopes to connect with likeminded musicians and realize their creative visions through collaboration and experimentation.
As a trans and queer artist, Elliot prioritizes creating a welcoming environment in his workspace in order to foster authentic expressions of creativity. Working with Elliot means you can feel free to be yourself in the studio!

Compositions
An aria inspired by poetic text. Originally written for piano and voice, but orchestrated for Ensemble Connect musicians – violin, cello, and clarinet.
Operatic dialogue and duet inspired by dialogue from a Star Wars film.
An aria inspired by the lyrics of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” as if sang by Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs.
An opera celebrating the life and achievements of James Lee Williams – better known by his stage name, The Vivienne – and his sister, Chanel Williams. Taking place in an imagined dreamscape, the opera reflects on James’s career as a drag artist, theatrical performer, and activist, while also exploring the grief of his sister. Rather than presenting a detailed biography, this opera focuses on an emotionally charged moment of connection between siblings.
Originally performed by Naomi Wagner (they/them) as Chanel, and Sophie D’Amore (she/her) as James/TheVivienne.
